Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- Mirae Scientists Street was fashionably built in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
In this regard, KCNA met Tong Tae San, a general of the Korean People's Army.
The street covers an area of about 400 000 square meters, with its total floor space 876 750 square meters.
The street consists of 19 new apartment buildings, over 150 public service amenities, a 4-D simulation cinema and tens of public buildings including senior secondary school.
The frame construction for a 53-storied skyscraper was finished in a little more than 60 days. 16 apartment buildings and a lot of public buildings underwent renovation while 1 540-meter-long bank of the Taedong River was reinforced.
Each flat is furnished with quality furniture and kitchen utensils.
Skyscrapers have shops and welfare service facilities on their ground floors.
There are rest places and sports parks near all apartments.
The street, built in one year, represents the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on attaching importance to science and technology. -0-
