The US and south Korea launched Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises on August 22.
The joint military rehearsal is being staged on the largest scale in history with the involvement of over 30 000 US troops, more than 50 000 south Korean troops, some 4 000 administrative agencies and major private enterprises and hundreds of thousands of civil servants.
In the drill, which will last till early September, OPLAN 5015 is expected to be enforced in a more concrete form. The plan includes the all-out war scenario of OPLAN 5027, OPLAN 5029 for providing against contingency, the “tailored deterrence strategy” geared to launching preemptive strike against the DPRK’s strategic targets by mobilizing nukes and other military means of the US and south Korean forces in case there is any “sign of the use of nukes and missiles by the north” and the “plan for joint response to localized provocation”.
This is a revelation of the absurd US scheme to realize the wild ambition for the domination of the whole of Korea even by a military method after its anti-DPRK policy, which was advertised as “strategic patience” involving political isolation and the economic sanctions, proved to be a failure.
The DPRK already warned that if the Americans ignite the fuse of nuclear war in the Korean peninsula, the US mainland would be reduced to ashes by the nuclear catastrophe and the south Korean authorities, busy with pro-US submission, would suffer collapse.
Now the Korean People’s Army is on constant standby for a decisive battle to mount preemptive retaliatory strike on all the enemy attack groups committed to the war games.
