DPRK, China open friendly concert

A DPRK-China friendly concert opened on February 9 at the Chinese embassy in Pyongyang to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star and the 10th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s visit to the Chinese mission on the occasion of the fifteenth day of the first month by lunar calendar.
It was held under the auspices of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Chinese embassy.
It was seen by Kang Ha Guk, minister of Public Health who also leads the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association; Ri Chang Gun, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea; Ri Kil Song, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs; Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries; Chinese Ambassador Li Jinjun and officials concerned and embassy staff members.
The entertainers were the members of a cultural and artistic delegation from Dandong, China.
They sang of the profound reverence for Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, Chinese people’s patriotism and national sentiment, receiving plaudits from the audience.
