Study tour of Paektusan Secret Camp made

Students and schoolchildren from across the country made a study tour of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp on the occasion of his 75th birth anniversary.
They had an inaugural meeting on February 1 in front of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan, Ryanggang Province, and left Hyesan towards the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site and the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site.
Calling back upon the undying exploits of the President, the legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war and peerless patriot who performed immortal feats to go down in the history of the anti-Japanese armed struggle against a huge army of Japanese imperialists, they looked round the historic relics preserved in original state.
During the tour they conducted a variety of political and cultural activities including study session of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas and question-and-answer contest.
On February 5, they held a meeting in front of the Chairman’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp to pledge themselves to carry on the long journey of the Juche revolution following Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Meanwhile, officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea toured the revolutionary battle sites in the Mt Paektu area from February 4 to 12.
