Russian plaque honours memory of Kim Jong Il

A plaque was unveiled at Megatitan supermarket in Ulan-Ude, Russia, in memory of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s visit on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
Inscribed on the plaque are Korean and Russian sentences: "Comrade Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, looked round the hypermarket 'Megatitan' on August 24, 2011.”
An unveiling ceremony took place at the hypermarket on February 8.
It was attended by the first deputy mayor of Ulan-Ude, the Buryat Republic of Russia, the secretary of the Buryatia Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation who doubles as member of the People's Hural, the general manager of the Titan Company Group and other personages of various circles and the DPRK deputy consul general and consul in Khabarovsk and officials of the relevant unit.
The plaque was unveiled amid enthusiastic applause of the participants.
They laid a basket of flowers and bouquets before the memorial plaque.
