Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- The Better Nigeria Progressive Party registered leader Kim Jong Il as its honorary national leader.

A ceremony of conveying the certificate of the title of honorary national leader to Kim Jong Il took place in Abuja on February 10.

Present there were personages of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party, the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria, the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association and the DPRK ambassador to Nigeria and staff members of his embassy.

The participants laid bouquets before the picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them.

Goodswill Nnaji, national chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party, handed over the certificate to DPRK Ambassador Jong Yong Chol. -0-
