Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Beijing of China gave a reception on February 15 to observe the 75th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.
Present there on invitation were Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Kong Xuanyou, assistant to the foreign minister, Wang Yajun, assistant to the head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party, Ci Guowei, deputy director of the Office of International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission, Wu Donghe, chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association, and other officials concerned of China.
DPRK Ambassador to China Ji Jae Ryong and his embassy officials were on hand.
In his speech at the reception, Ji Jae Ryong mentioned the Songun revolutionary feats of leader Kim Jong Il and his life dedicated to the people and noted that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is wisely leading the Korean people in the efforts to implement the decision of the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
He expressed the stand to make joint efforts to develop the DPRK-China relations of friendship.
Wang Jiarui said that the Chinese people would always remember Kim Jong Il who had developed the traditional relations of friendship provided by the leaders of elder generation of the two countries.
Hoping that the Korean party and people would make bigger successes in Korean-style socialist construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, he expressed the will to make positive contribution to developing the relations between the two countries and defending the regional peace and stability.
Earlier on February 13, the DPRK embassy hosted a reception for diplomatic envoys of different countries to China. -0-
