Ideological workers in Kangwon Province met in Wonsan on February 19 to find the way to further display the spirit of Kangwon Province in the campaign to create the Mallima speed, true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
They analysed and reviewed the achievements and experiences gained in the efforts to implement the instructions of Chairman Kim Jong Il and Party policies and discussed measures to be taken in this year’s all-people, general offensive.
Ri Kwang Chol, vice-chairman of the WPK Kangwon Provincial Committee, said in his keynote speech that the spirit of Kangwon Province is a revolutionary spirit of the times, which was implanted and encouraged by Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who held fast to ideology as an almighty treasured sword of the victorious revolution and consistently embodied the line of attaching importance to ideology.
The Chairman trained the local people into the creators of indomitable spirit and pioneers of self-reliance, and the Supreme Leader put them forward as the creators of a new spirit of the times, who fulfil the Chairman’s patriotic dream about a powerful country in the van of the whole country, he stated.
The brilliant feats the locals have performed in every workplace for a great upswing, including the construction site of power station, while frustrating the imperialists’ vicious economic blockade, are based on the indomitable spiritual strength, and it is a manifestation of the validity of the ideological theory of Juche, he noted.
He said Party and working people’s organizations at all levels and ideological workers conducted ideological and political work in an original and offensive style while placing stress on arousing Party members and working people to carry out the instructions of the great leaders and Party policies, thereby bringing about a turn in the development of the economy and the improvement of the people’s livelihood.
Ideological workers took upon themselves an important part in seething work places and enhanced the masses’ zeal for the revolution and struggle by conducting frontline-style information and motivation work, he asserted. In the course of this, an unyielding attacking spirit of making headway against trials and difficulties to hit ambitious goals was fully displayed, he said.
He emphasized the need to bring about a new revolutionary turn in ideological work with the meeting as momentum, so as to make continuous leaps forward and achieve victory in the van of the campaign of creating the Mallima speed as befit the creators of the spirit of Kangwon Province.
He referred to the need to concentrate all energies of ideological work on thoroughly establishing the monolithic leadership system of the Supreme Leader and to give the fullest play to the might of the spirit in the all-people, general offensive to hit the targets of the five-year strategy under the self-development-first banner.
He called for working hard to turn the province into a prosperous socialist paradise in the great era of Kim Jong Un on the strength of ideology, single-minded unity and self-development and self-reliance with fervent loyalty to the Supreme Leader.

The participants saw a video inspiring them to rush in the van of the times by giving the fullest play to the spirit of Kangwon Province, as well as a performance given by the provincial art troupe.
