Japan allegedly agreed with the US to intercept the DPRK’s ballistic missile in case it would fall near the Japanese territory.
As if to add credence to it, the Japanese defence minister has blustered that Japan would destroy the DPRK’s missile launching base beforehand.
To launch ballistic missiles and modernize strategic weapons is the DPRK’s independent right to defend its security from the mounting military threat by the US and its vassals including Japan.
Moreover, the DPRK’s missiles have never fallen on Japan’s territory nor endangered the country.
Nevertheless, Japan fusses over its missile launches and makes such provocative remarks, in a revelation of its wild ambition for invasion of Korea with the backing of the US.
This is evidenced by the recent build-up of military ties between Japan and the US.
This year Japan started the construction of a comprehensive military base in Henoko, where the operational capacities of the three services of the US are to be concentrated, despite the local protests and calls for the withdrawal of US troops from Okinawa.
Most recently Japan’s Ground Self-Defence Force and the US Marine Corps staged a general drill for reconnaissance, patrol and transport with the involvement of the US’ new transport plane Osprey.
The Budget Committee of the House of Councillors of Japan in a meeting held on March 2 expressed its intention to increase defence expenses that are already swelling threateningly.
Such acts reveal more clearly the brazenness of Japan that is unwilling to make an honest apology and reparation for the crimes it had committed as it occupied the Asian countries including Korea under the signboard of the “Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere”. They also put the DPRK and the international community on full alert.
Japan should be aware that now is not the 20th century when it rampaged through the Asian continent to be its “leader” and that the DPRK is a nuclear power in the East.
Though Japan acts rashly piggybacking the US, it is as foolish as running its head against a wall.
