It has been 14 years since the US started the Iraq war on March 20 2003 to “demolish of weapons of mass destruction” and “fight against terrorism”, in disregard of international law and the UN.
In the period the world clearly realized that US “anti-terror war” was a war of aggression and massacre of civilians geared to realizing its wild ambition for hegemony.
American troops did not hesitate to fire at peaceful Iraqi residents for the reason that they demanded their withdrawal and freedom. After besieging Fallujah, they used a bone-melting chemical weapon at the city centre to kill lots of women and children.
For five years since the US invasion of Iraq, over 1 205 000 locals lost their lives and missing persons numbered one million, nearly half of whom were children.
Mass-killings were also committed in Afghanistan during the “anti-terror campaign.”
The US troops who set their foot on the country in October 2001 incessantly killed innocent residents, as they played games. The world was shocked by their unethical crimes: they shot to death the nine children who were out to gather firewood one by one with a heavy machine gun, murdered a 15-year-old boy and cut his genitals to keep them as a memento of participation in the Afghan war, and stood around the corpses of Taliban members to urinate on them.
An American soldier slipped out of barracks in an early morning and sprayed bullets to sleeping civilians, killing 16 and wounding 5.
According to a recent revelation, US troops used internationally-forbidden chemical weapons in an “anti-terror war in Syria.
Although the US air force promised not to use depleted uranium bombs which they had massively applied to the Iraq war in the “anti-terror war” in Syria, it fired thousands of armour-piercing depleted uranium shells in the military operation in the country’s eastern desert on November 16 and 22, 2015.
Facts prove that the military intervention and acts of war the US has committed under the signboard of “anti-terror” are acts of state-sponsored terrorism and the worst human rights violation. Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, at a meeting with Muslim leaders last year, denounced the US for generating terror crisis in the Middle East and called on Muslims to join efforts for peace.
The US has committed war crimes to satisfy its impure greed around the world including Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. It killed numerous civilians and aggravated friction between religious sects to give rise to the vicious cycle of vengeance and trigger migrant crisis.
Under the manipulation of the US the Gaddafi government was overthrown in Libya and a refugee crisis was generated in the Middle East and Europe. What the US seeks from its “anti-terror war” is to reduce this planet to a maelstrom in which people cannot distinguish friends from foes and a world devoid of territory to defend and people who fight for it.
