A Far Eastern regional seminar on the Juche idea and socialism was held in Vladivostok, Russia, on March 11 under the co-sponsorship of the Association for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in Far Eastern Region and the Primorsky Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation to mark the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
It was attended by members of different Russian political parties, organizations and Juche idea study groups, public figures from all walks of life, the DPRK consul general in Vladivostok and a delegation of the Korean Association of Social Scientists.
A congratulatory speech was delivered, followed by a keynote address and speeches.
Dolgachev, first secretary of the Primorsky Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, said in a congratulatory speech that the Juche idea was created and enriched by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, adding the Russian people would have to learn the experience of the Korean people who are speeding up the building of socialism under the banner of Juche and Songun as they win victory after victory in the showdown with the imperialists.
Gennady Kulikov, chairman of the Far Eastern Association for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, in his keynote speech, said the association would work to contribute to the prosperity of Russia by making indepth study of the Juche idea and widely disseminating it, noting that the original idea is a revolutionary theory illuminating the way to eternal well-being and prosperity of mankind.
Speakers said that the Juche idea has been widespread across the world, evoking great response among the progressives aspiring after independence and justice, and that the DPRK has invariably held aloft the banner of socialism in the face of the imperialist allied forces’ vicious offensive against socialism.
An appeal was published at the seminar.
It called for further promoting the Juche idea, asserting that Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, whose essence is the Juche idea, is the great guiding ideology in the present times indicating the way for each country and nation to shape their destiny.
It also stressed the need to disclose the falsity of the propaganda by the Western media that are hell-bent on a smear campaign against the DPRK, render active support to the just cause of the Korean people and bolster up relations of friendship and cooperation with the DPRK.
A letter to the DPRK Supreme Leader was adopted at the meeting.
