The US is intensifying anti-DPRK espionage activities.
According to foreign media reports, the CIA has recently organized a special organization allegedly to respond to the “north’s nuclear threat”.
The spy group is reportedly in charge of information gathering about the DPRK’s nuclear weapons and long-range missiles and it is the first time the CIA has set up such an organization focusing on a specific country.
Meanwhile, the US forces in south Korea plan to resume the activities of the 524th intelligence battalion, dedicated to collecting and analysing intelligence about the DPRK through spies and defectors from the north, in October. Built in 1950, the Humint unit belongs to military intelligence-gathering brigade 501 under the US 8th Army, but has long been hamstrung by inefficiency for lack of fund.
The US’ hurried actions only show that it is perplexed.
As is known, the “strategic patience” the Obama administration pursued to stifle the DPRK ended in a complete failure and the “greatest pressure and engagement” the Trump administration advocates also faces the unflinching, toughest counteractions of the DPRK.
It reacted with the toughest measures it has ever taken against the US provocation when the new administration staged nuclear war games on the largest scale for two months in south Korea.
Recently it uncovered a group of terrorists aimed at its supreme leadership, who were infiltrated by the CIA and the south Korean national intelligence service, and declared that it will launch a just anti-terror war of its own style to find out those who masterminded and involved in the crime and who followed them to the last and smash the CIA and the south Korean NIS.
The Trump administration is advised to have a correct understanding of the DPRK’s present strategic position.
