The Central Mining Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences has recently developed a tourmaline water activator from natural tourmaline.
Generally, tourmaline, when rubbed, heated or compressed, generates bioelectricity and releases far infrared rays and anions that are good for health. As it has a wide application it is called “air vitamin” and “environmental police” worldwide.
With an eye to wider application of the locally abundant mineral as a material for environmental protection, researchers developed the high-purity tourmaline dust. Its fineness is 99 percent and its grain size is as small as 2§¬.
And they proceeded to make a variety of products with the dust.
Among them is the water activator which is made by pressing and calcinating the powder.
This functional health material converts water into smaller molecule, slightly alkaline and reduced water with a pH of 7.2-7.5.
If it is put into water, it acts on water evenly to release far infrared rays and anions and generate bioelectricity. Then the water taste becomes good and various kinds of germs including colon bacillus are partly killed.
A regular drinking makes the body fluid assume ideal alkalinity to put the body in a healthy condition and in turn the water’s osmosis into all organs is facilitated to activate metabolism. This also detoxifies excess active oxygen to prevent arteriosclerosis and the destruction of protein and cell membranes, retard aging and retain youthfulness. Particularly, the activator is handy for business or leisure travels as it has remarkable diuresis and prevents endemic stomachache. If you wash your face and have a bath with this water, it makes your skin clean and fine and keeps your body warm. The water is good for plants, poultry and domestic animals as it helps them grow fast and healthy while raising the plants’ rate of rooting. The activator also keeps the water of fish bowls and ponds clean and increases its oxygen ions to help fish grow fast.
The tourmaline water activator was the focus of attention at the 32nd national scientific and technological festival and the 20th Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair held this year.
In addition, the institute developed with this powder a functional aeration stone that is the kernel of water-saving fish farming, such green building materials as anion-emitting plastic wallpaper and wallboard and functional tile for sauna, and applied them to the Pyongyang Terrapin Farm, flats on Ryomyong Street and other places.
