Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The DPRK succeeded at a go in the test-launch of inter-continental ballistic missile Hwasong-14 Tuesday.

The test-launch was carried out at the maximum angle launch system and did not give any adverse effect to the security of neighboring countries.

The success in the test-fire of inter-continental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14, final gate to rounding off the state nuclear force, at just one try is a powerful manifestation of the invincible state might and the tremendous capability of the self-reliant national defence industry of Juche Korea that has advanced at a remarkably rapid pace under the great Workers' Party of Korea's new line on the simultaneous development of the two fronts, and a great auspicious event to be specially recorded in the history of the DPRK which has long craved for powerful defence capabilities.

The overall strength of the DPRK and its strategic position has been placed on the new highest since its possession of the ICBM as well as A-bomb and H-bomb.

This is of truly heavy and special significance in ensuring peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and the region and it meant a great victory won by Juche Korea in the stand-off with the imperialists and the U.S.

We feel pride and self-esteem of having bolstered up the powerful deterrence to a nuclear war despite the persistent pressure and sanctions by the hostile forces.

Explicitly speaking, the chieftain that compelled the DPRK into developing inter-continental ballistic rocket is the U.S. which has persistently pursued the anachronistic hostile policy to destroy the sovereignty and the right to existence of the DPRK for decades.

It is quite natural that the DPRK has possessed of the nuclear deterrence for self-defence and bolstered it up to cope with the U.S. reckless hostile policy and undisguised nuclear threat.

The launch would help the hostile forces clearly understand whether the DPRK's ballistic rocket would become an actual threat to the U.S. or not.

The U.S. frequently carry out missile interception tests and bluffs that it would intercept inter-continental ballistic rocket flying into the U.S. mainland, but what if.

It should neither shun nor misjudge the reality that the whole U.S. mainland is within the striking range of the DPRK and all the powerful means for mounting annihilating strike is in the hands of the DPRK.

The U.S. strategy of strength aimed to test the DPRK while talking about "maximum pressure and engagement" will never work on it.

Unless a fundamental end is put to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and the nuclear threat to it, the DPRK will never put the nuke and ballistic rocket on the negotiating table nor take even an inch back from the road of bolstering the nuclear force which it has already taken.
