Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in an article that the south Korean authorities have no qualifications to claim the north-south dialogue.
The article goes on:
The "conditions for dialogue" mentioned by the south Korean authorities can never be possible in terms of the inter-Korean relations, and they are a self-contradictory thing denying the dialogue itself.
The south Korean authorities should understand who their rival is and their own situation before talking about the "conditions for dialogue", and speak and act with discretion.
The nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula can never be solved unless the U.S. frantic hostile policy towards the DPRK and nuclear threat and blackmail which have lasted century by century ended as it was produced by them. This is recognized by the world.
The "dialogue related to the settlement of the north's nuclear issue" is trumpeted about by the ignorant who do not know the essence of the said issue and those who turn a blind eye to the destiny of the nation while running amuck for the moves to stifle the fellow countrymen pursuant to the foreign forces. Such dialogue is nothing but a daydream which should never be allowed to exist and which can never come true.
However loudly the south Korean authorities may clamor for the "conditions for dialogue", they can never evade from the responsibility for undermining the inter-Korean relations and bringing the hair-trigger war atmosphere to the peninsula.
The inter-Korean dialogue is nothing but an outward show as long as the fundamental stand of the south Korean authorities to the inter-Korean relations is not set right.
If they have a real interest in the dialogue, they should stop all the provocative moves of escalating confrontation with the fellow countrymen while acting as stooges of the U.S.
The south Korean authorities should be mindful that the way for the inter-Korean dialogue would stop forever and the time of their ruin be accelerated, should they escalate confrontation with the DPRK while trumpeting about "conditions for dialogue". -0-
