“As it becomes clear that Japan steps up the final preparations for reinvasion of Korea with the backing of the US, the DPRK cannot but exercise the right to take tough self-defensive countermeasures,” said a spokesman for the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee on October 22.
The statement came as the Japanese authorities frantically pursue hostility towards the DPRK with the backing of the US.
After dissolving the house of representatives in a desperate attempt to keep hold on power, they create public opinion as if the political move was motivated by “north Korea’s nuclear threat” and act recklessly, describing themselves as the “centripetal force for tiding over the crisis”, the spokesman said.
By doing so they intend to achieve the purpose of remaining in power by availing themselves of the nuclear war crisis caused by the US and realize the old dream of “Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere”, he noted, denouncing it as a typical example of Japan’s cunning and crafty quality.
It is fully proven by the fact that Japan examined a plan for putting down “armed refugees” by mobilizing SDF troops as well as for logistic supply to the US forces in case of contingency in the Korean peninsula while advertising the US’ military attack on the DPRK, he said.
Regarding Chongryon, the DPRK compatriots’ organization in Japan, as a thorn in their flesh, the Japanese authorities try to take this opportunity to find an excuse for an all-out crackdown and completely remove it, he said.
“There is a limit to patience and if there is a source of misfortune nearby, it is needed to remove it immediately,” he said.
The Japanese authorities should squarely see the strategic position of the DPRK which has risen to a nuclear power of Juche and a world power and behave themselves, he warned.
