Despite chill weather early this winter, the south Korean people’s fighting zeal against deep-rooted evils remains unabated.
Since they ousted the Park Geun Hye regime through a massive candlelit protest this year, they have staged a courageous struggle to root out the evils of the former conservative regimes in a show of their firm determination to realize righteousness in politics, life and society.
The fight embraces all social strata including workers, farmers, youth, religionists and women as well as politicians.
Thanks to their adamant efforts, crimes committed by the Park clan have been revealed one after another and criminals and accomplices are being put behind bars in succession. Park Geun Hye entrusted state administration to a shaman, abused power to embezzle money and offered south Korea to the US as a foothold for the implementation of its strategy for world domination.
Her predecessor Lee Myung Bak used the military cyber command like his private intelligence service to help Park Geun Hye step into his shoes. During Lee’s reign, south Korea became debt-ridden, notably 1 400 trillion won in family debt, 1 000 trillion in state debt and 800 trillion in public debt. And he squandered 22 trillion won of taxpayers’ money on the pretext of the development of four rivers, illegally ran a company and hindered national reunification with the “May 24 measures”.
The local people who were dissatisfied with the preceding regimes are still in a fury, because the current authorities who style themselves the mouthpiece of candlelight protesters do not take action to get rid of such serious evils.
Participants in a large-scale candlelit rally and protest action held in Seoul on November 18 claimed that the current government fails to execute the order of “candlelight sentiment”, urging it to revise the constitution and reform politics and parliament in reflection of the candlelight spirit and send back the US’ THAAD system which was deployed forcibly by abusing government power. Civil society organizations censured the national assembly for not enacting a special law on probe into social disasters.
The “people’s democratic party”, at a rally held in front of the US embassy in Seoul on November 20, demanded the elimination of evil legacies, social reform, conclusion of a DPRK-US peace agreement and withdrawal of US troops from south Korea. It denounced the current ruler for being hell-bent on north-targeted war games in collaboration with warmongering Trump when the Korean peninsula is in a war crisis and for leaving Lee Myung Bak and other class A criminals swaggering, and demanded the authorities detain Lee immediately, speed up the campaign to do away with the evils and switch from the policy of kowtowing to foreign forces to that of inter-Korean cooperation.
The local people who are out for the anti-evils campaign ask the authorities whether they would be a regime to be punished by history or a government to be recorded in history.
