Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- The National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo issued a bulletin on Jan. 21 on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.
The bulletin carries an article titled "The KPA seen through history of military parades" under the headline of "Glory to the officers and men of the heroic KPA".
It said that the military parade of the regular armed forces, the first of its kind in the history of Korea, took place at the plaza before Pyongyang Railway Station on Feb. 8, 1948 and the birth of the KPA, which carried forward the traditions of the anti-Japanese guerrillas, was a historic, great event that displayed the inexhaustible strength of new Korea and its ever-victorious mettle.
The bulletin introduced the history of military parades to state that the KPA had covered the road of victory and glory under the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il over the past decades since it worked an unprecedented military miracle through which it shattered the U.S. imperialists' myth of "mightiness" in the Fatherland Liberation War.
It stressed that the military parade of victory will continue in the DPRK as it has respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the peerlessly illustrious commander. -0-
