Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- The Juche Musical Art Development House has been wonderfully built at the Mansudae Art Theatre on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.
This is a treasure-house of socialist Korea's musical art as it comprehensively and intuitively showcases the history of the revolutionary musical art of Korea that has made brilliant development century after century and decade after decade since the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle. On display there are famous songs, including the songs praising the leaders significantly recorded in the protracted course of the Korean revolution which started and has advanced victoriously with songs, and data on the creative and performing activities of creators and artistes.
Its opening ceremony took place on Friday.
Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, and Pak Kwang Ho, Ri Su Yong, Kim Phyong Hae, Thae Jong Su, O Su Yong, An Jong Su, Pak Thae Song, Kim Yong Chol, Choe Hwi, Pak Thae Dok, Ri Man Gon and other cadres of the WPK Central Committee, officials, creators and artistes in the field of literature and arts and officials and employees of the house.
Pak Kwang Ho, Politburo member and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, made an opening address.
He said that the house is a great treasure-house of musical art reflective of the great feats performed by the peerlessly great men in the musical art field.
The house is a brilliant fruition of the noble intention and energetic guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to firmly defend and eternally glorify the musical art leadership feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, he said.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the house.
Seen before the color statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the central hall of the house was a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
The participants placed floral baskets and bouquets before the color statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them. -0-
