A “bloody nose operation” which is being pushed by the Trump clan is evoking fierce controversy in the international community as well as in the US.
The scheme was revealed after the members of the National Security Council of the White House, at a conclave of American experts on the Korean peninsula affairs, said that Trump is making a serious examination of the operation and a limited attack on north Korea will be helpful to his by-election.
Against this background, US and foreign media outlets have made an analysis of the operation in combination with the facts that south Korea-based US ambassador-designate failed to be appointed for his opposition to the tough military plan and that the US strategic nuclear assets and special forces are being deployed massively in and around the Korean peninsula and predicted that a military conflict might break out in the peninsula in late March or early April after the ongoing Winter Olympics are over.
This is an issue that cannot be overlooked.
It is more serious, given that the US is speeding up preparations for a nuclear war in the peninsula and the main point of the controversial operation is a limited preemptive strike, or to be more specific, a precision strike on the DPRK’s nuclear and missile facilities.
Most recently, the US military has taken threatening actions. It arranged a drill to dispatch troops and equipment and a parachute drill in the mainland in simulation of contingency in the Korean peninsula and decided to supply the wartime combat fatigues to the US troops in south Korea allegedly to cope with any military conflict with the DPRK.
Such moves are a revelation of the US’ bid to achieve its impure goal by force of arms and are nothing more than the desperate wriggling of the Trump clan who have been driven into a bay as they have sustained a crushing defeat in the nuclear showdown with the DPRK.
These are also a deliberate act of provocation aimed at spoiling the peaceful atmosphere created in the peninsula thanks to the DPRK’s active measures and efforts and diverting the current trend toward confrontation and war.
Under a barrage of criticism at home and abroad, the Trump clan are trying to cover up their preemptive strike scheme and their warlike nature, saying the “bloody nose operation” is a “fiction” fabricated by the media and the political aim of the US is to “apply maximum pressure to make north Korea come to the negotiating table”.
Their imprudent attempt to hurt the DPRK which has a powerful nuclear deterrent will obviously bring them a terrible disaster.
