Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- Palhaesamchae ceramic, a special product of Palhae (698-926), is one of fine national heritages of the Korean people.
The ceramic was carefully painted with three colors of glazes before being baked. It is simple in decoration, natural and refined in shape, bright and soft in color, very light in weight and not easy to break.
And decorative patterns stained on glazed ceramic add beauty to it.
It is regarded as one of achievements made by Palhae craftsmen in ceramic art that they had well used various color glazes in good harmony with patterns.
It gives a glimpse of glaze-making technique and ceramics of Palhae that reached a high stage of their development.
At that time, Palhaesamchae ceramic wares were exported to other countries to win high praises for "being as light as a feather". -0-
