Ballet Choreodrama "Red Women Company" Given by Chinese Art Troupe

Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) -- The Chinese art troupe for the 31st April Spring Friendship Art Festival gave a ballet choreodrama "Red Women Company" at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on Sunday.
Kim Yong Nam, Presidium member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Kwang Ho and Ri Su Yong, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, and other senior officials of the party and government arrived at the theatre and exchanged greetings with Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China, and Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK. Then they enjoyed the performance together with artistes and Pyongyangites.
Among the audience were foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international bodies here and their wives, military attaches and their wives and foreigners here.
Through the ballet choreodrama "Red Women Company", a model of the ballets with the Chinese characteristics, the artistes of the prestigious National Ballet of China wonderfully depicted the course in which the Chinese women, who suffered from exploitation and humiliation, grow to be revolutionary fighters under the guidance of the Communist Party of China in the 1930s with the graceful and beautiful dances. -0-
