Democracy and Reunification Movement to Be Steadily Waged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- A ceremony for marking the 31st anniversary of the June Popular Resistance took place in Taejon City of south Korea on June 10, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.
Speakers there said that the history of the May 18 Kwangju Uprising and the June Popular Resistance led to the candlelight resistance and the struggle for democracy is still now going on.
They called for waging a vigorous struggle for equality against all kinds of discrimination and violence.
They expressed the will to achieve democracy, reunification and peace in the spirit of June Resistance, hoping for an end to the history of fetters caused by division and for south-north reconciliation and brisk exchange. -0-
