Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory letter from the General Association of Koreans in China on June 15, the 18th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration.
Noting that leader Kim Jong Il provided the Pyongyang summit and made public the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung who provided the Three Charters for National Reunification, the letter said:
This is still now shining brilliantly as the national historic exploit that struck the whole world with admiration and opened a new turning point of reunification for the Korean nation.
The publication of the north-south joint declaration made a milestone for national reconciliation, unity and independent reunification and opened a new era of nationwide reunification movement, and it helped give vent to the entire nation's patriotic will for reunification, bringing a turning phase of national reunification.
All the fellow countrymen are now filled with great emotion and joy as respected Marshal Kim Jong Un provided two north-south summits and the Panmunjom declaration, a milestone for independent reunification, peace and prosperity, with his rare and distinguished political caliber, the letter said, adding:
The General Association and all Koreans in China are replete with strong will to conduct the struggle for implementing the Panmunjom declaration, full of national pride of holding you as the great sun of the nation.
We will turn out as one in the struggle to usher in a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity with the faith that the Korean nation's cause of reunification would be surely realized under your guidance. -0-
