Foreign media outlets splashed Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un’s activities between August 4 and 12.

Reporting his viewing of prototype trolleybus and tramcar, Russia’s Tass said that he visited the Pyongyang Trolleybus Factory to acquaint himself with the production of a new type of trolleybus and highly appreciated it saying its quality was considerably improved as compared to what it was half a year ago.

He learned about the factory’s second-phase modernization project and gave detailed instructions, it added.

He visited a tramcar station in Pyongyang and was happy to see a prototype tramcar, it noted, and he oversaw the test operation of the two vehicles.

This news was also posted on the websites of China’s Global Times, India’s Ocean News Point and a Belorussian association for friendship with the Korean people named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

China News Service said that during his inspection of the Samchon Catfish Farm Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un looked round the farm to familiarize himself with its production.

He praised the farm’s officials and employees for refurbishing the farm and exceeding the annual production target, it said.

It reported he hoped the farm would lead the way in fish farming and become a pioneer, distributor and base of cutting-edge fish culture technology, adding that he specified tasks and ways in this regard.

The Supreme Leader’s recent activities drew unusual media attention in China, Russia, Cuba, Germany, the Czech Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Reporting his inspection of the Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory, China News Service said he lavished praise on the factory as he viewed trial products on display at the showroom, saying that there are so many kinds, it seems to make everything out of a fish, the packaging is mouthwatering and diverse in form, and he could see that it has studied much about fish pickling.

At the storehouse, it noted, he feasted his eyes on the processed pickled fish that filled the storehouse from ceiling to bottom. He said that it is really a sight to behold, at first he was worried about whether it would be productive as it was the first of its kind in the country, but now he was confident, and he felt proud of his efforts at the thought of playing a part in improving the dietary life of the people, it added.

Nepalese newspaper The Arpan carried the news about his inspection of a new type of trolleybus and tramcar.
