Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- In summer of the year Pyongyang witnessed unprecedentedly hot weather.

But, its citizens could lead an enjoyable life despite such sweltering weather as there are lots of advanced cultural recreation centers based on water in different parts of the city, including Munsu Water Park. Let's go to water park--this was a routine voice of citizens in this summer.

The city has many wading pools such as Mangyongdae Wading Pool and the swimming pool of Changgwang Health Complex, which served as a summer resort for citizens this year.

In recent years alone, more indoor and outdoor swimming pools were built in various parts of the city to delight people. They include Rungna Water Park and Seawater Swimming Pool in Pothonggang District.

Meanwhile, citizens enjoyed themselves in the summer by watching stunts of sea animals at the Rungna Dolphinarium and dancing fountains in the River Taedong and other parts of the city.

Mineral water, spring water and beer also play an important role in the life of Pyongyangites. Typical are Okryu Mineral Water, Ryongaksan Spring Water and Taedonggang Beer.

Now, Pyongyang with the beautiful River Taedong is being turned into a highly civilized city.
