Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- Of late, the Japan Maritime "Self-Defense Force" conducted joint military drill with naval forces of the U.S. and the UK in the Pacific south of Honshu Island.
At a Cabinet ministers meeting earlier, the Japanese reactionaries adopted a defense program and a midterm defence capability buildup outline to be executed for the five years to come and decided to lavish an astronomical amount of money on carrying them out.
Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says:
Such foolhardy move of the Japanese reactionaries is a revelation of their dirty design to realize their wild ambition for overseas expansion at any cost with the backing of their master.
Japan is constitutionally banned from exercising the right of belligerency.
Such a nation is now working hard to turn itself into a military giant after securing the military muscle strong enough to rank among big powers. This is aimed to turn the time back to the first half of the last century when the Japanese imperialists put the Asia-Pacific under their control.
