Chairman Kim Jong Il's Visit to Russian Church Marked

Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- A monument was erected at St. Bishop Innokenty of Irkutsk Church toured by Chairman Kim Jong Il during his visit to the Far Eastern region of the Russian Federation.
An unveiling ceremony took place on December 30 last year.
Present there on invitation were Russian figures of various circles, men of the press, citizens of Khabarovsk and staff members of the DPRK mission to Khabarovsk.
The monument was unveiled with the tolling of a bell and bouquets were laid before it.
Nikolai, bishop of the church, said in his congratulatory speech that he was much pleased to erect the monument in the church toured by Kim Jong Il.
He added that Kim Jong Il is the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with excellent caliber, stressing that he will be remembered forever as he paid attention and respect to the culture and traditions of the Russian people. -0-
