DPRK FA Appoints Head Coach of National Men’s Football Team

The DPRK Football Association appointed 35-year-old Kim Yong Jun the head coach of the national men’s football team.

His team will take part in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup finals. Belonging to Group E, it will compete with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon.

An active quarterback of the national team, he had contributed to his team’s earning qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals and winning the Vietnam FA Cup international football games in 2010.

Later he had been promoted to coach and head coach of men’s football team of the Pyongyang Sports Club.

Between 2013 and 2017 he assisted the coach of U-16, U-17 and U-23 men’s team.
