Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Celebration meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows took place in Myanmar, Bulgaria, Romania, UK and Mexico between January 24 and February 5 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star).
Seen at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and photos showing the revolutionary activities of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Exhibited there were their works, and books and photos introducing proud successes achieved by the Korean people in socialist construction.
Korean films were screened at the film shows.
There were speeches at the events attended by personages of various circles and people in those countries.
The vice-chairman of the Yangon Regional Executive Committee of the League for National Democracy of Myanmar said that Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader who turned the DPRK into an invincible country.
The general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain said that socialism is winning victories in the DPRK thanks to the great exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the country and its people.
The chairperson of the Mexican National Preparatory Committee for Celebrating the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star said that the greatest exploits of Kim Jong Il is that he firmly defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and socialism by pursuing the unique Songun politics.
A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in UK.
