Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- It was the life-long motto of Chairman Kim Jong Il to believe in the people as in Heaven.
In his lifetime, he said that he is an ardent admirer of the people.
It was his creed that the people are an almighty being and one should pluck even a star from the sky and bring a flower into bloom even on a rock if they want.
He had always regarded the demands and will of the people as an absolute criterion in shaping any state line and policy and strictly observed this principle. Vividly reflected in the slogan "We Serve the People!" is the noble intention of Kim Jong Il, who devoted his all to the wellbeing of the people and shaped the politics of love for them.
Regarding happiness of the people as his great joy and pleasure, he had visited more than 14 290 units across the country until the last moments of his great life, the course of which covers at least 670 000 kilometers equivalent to going round the earth nearly 17 times.
In the course of his long journey of field guidance, many touching stories were created to tell about his loving care for the people. One of them is about an important measure taken by him to build before anything else new houses for the inhabitants in an area of power station under construction though the construction might be delayed.
Indeed, his revolutionary life is an immortal history of loving care for the people.
