Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory letter from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on Saturday, the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The letter said that the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who was born as the son of guerillas in Mt Paektu, the holy mountain of revolution, and experienced the two revolutionary wars and postwar reconstruction of the country and had led the cause of Juche in the van during over five decades is the noblest life of the peerlessly great man who dedicated his all to the building of a powerful socialist nation and the happiness of all generations true to the great intention of President Kim Il Sung and thus performed the immortal exploits to shine long in the history of the country.
It lauded Kim Jong Il as the brilliant thinker and theoretician who provided the immortal ideological and theoretical assets for the prosperity of Juche Korea with his rare wisdom and extraordinary inquiry and as the iron-willed commander who smashed the imperialist allied forces' every vicious move for isolation and pressure with his adroit Songun leadership and turned the country into the politico-ideological power of single-minded unity and military power.
It stressed that Kim Jong Il is the outstanding leader who strengthened Chongryon into the patriotic pioneer in patriotism, paragon of patriotic loyalty to the country and model of overseas Koreans' organizations true to the high intention of Kim Il Sung, and the defender of the destiny of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.
It said that the history of benevolent loving care associated with Kim Jong Il's wise guidance and noble love for the nation and compatriots is given steady continuity thanks to the paternal benevolence and meticulous loving care of Kim Jong Un who has bestowed warm favors for the victorious advance of Chongryon's patriotic cause and the prosperous society of Koreans in Japan.
