Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun in an editorial Friday says that the 8th Conference of Munitions Industry was held with splendor amid deep concern, expectation and best wishes of all servicepersons and civilians across the country.
Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un personally attended the conference, guided its whole course and made a historic conclusion. This serves as an immortal programme as it clearly indicated the important tasks and ways for further glorifying the country as the world's strongest nuclear and military power, the editorial notes, and goes on:
The conference is the one of faith that displayed once again the fixed will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the people to invariably hold fast to the banner of the line of simultaneously developing the two fronts until the revolutionary cause of Juche is accomplished.
The line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear force is a strategic line set forth by our Party to defend the supreme interests of our revolution and make our people enjoy the socialist benefits to the full under guarantee by powerful war deterrent.
The conference was held at a time when the U.S. imperialists' nuclear threat and blackmail, sanctions and pressure moves against the DPRK have gone beyond the limited line. It clearly showed how strong are the faith and will of our people to further increase the self-reliant defense capability, holding higher the banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts under any circumstances.
