Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- A meeting of young people to vow to thoroughly carry out the tasks set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address was held at the plaza of the Monument to Party Founding on Wednesday.
Present there were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, youth and students.
Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Un's New Year Address is an inspiring banner and goal of life and struggle as it gives tremendous strength and courage to 5 million young vanguard who turned out in the gigantic general advance this year.
They noted that all the youth should become vanguard and shock-brigaders in the drive for opening up a new road of advance for socialist construction under the uplifted banner of self-reliance with the immutable faith that they would surely emerge victorious in their struggle as they are led by the Supreme Leader.
They stressed they would become pioneers of new technology, creators of new culture and pathfinders for a great leap forward in the present stirring era and that they would make sure that the vigor and stamina of young people heartily responding to the call of the Party pervade wherever they work.
